Art is an expansive field of human activity involving physical creativity, visual sense, mental ability, aesthetic appreciation, or imaginative thinking to express intellectual interest, beauty, emotion, or spiritual belief. Art has been called the ‘language of the heart’, since it involves the interaction and exchange of feelings and emotions between people. Art is an important part of our lives, affecting us emotionally and physically as well as socially. It provides us with a level of control over the external world by controlling how we interpret it and making connections between events and people in our environment.

Some of these forums are highly specialized, such as discussion boards devoted to contemporary art or specific artistic styles, while others are general free-for-all membership areas where anyone can participate. Whatever the case, the art community continues to grow and will continue to have a vital role in society.
